LOVE IS IN THE AIR AT ANNINGTON’S WATERBEACH DEVELOPMENT
After months of house hunting, Neil Midgley and Elle Spencer are delighted to have moved into their first house together at Annington’s Haling Place development, Waterbeach.
Neil, a research scientist and Elle, an HR advisor have recently moved into their three bedroom house following months of searching for their dream home. Having lived in a rented two bedroom apartment in a small village nearby, they decided that Waterbeach was the place where they wanted to settle down. Their offer was accepted and within a few weeks they had moved in. The fairytale didn’t stop there, when after a few days of living in their new house, Neil proposed to Elle and they are due to get married next year.
Neil comments: “It seemed like the perfect time to get down on one knee. After a long and tiresome search we have ended up in our dream home and getting married to Elle will complete the picture. We chose this house and location because we hope one day to have a family and we love the sense of community here. We also feel it is a sound investment and it is undoubtedly great value for money”.
All the Haling Place properties have undergone extensive external and internal refurbishment, with new kitchens and bathrooms fitted in all of the homes.
Angela Walsh, Head of Sales and Marketing at Annington, explains: “Annington has invested both time and money into the refurbishment of these homes. We wanted to breathe new life into the development to create a fresh and welcoming atmosphere, and that is exactly what we have achieved. The homes at Waterbeach appeal to purchasers looking for a home that is ready to move into in a commutable location to Cambridge. We are looking forward to our next launch in June and welcoming a new set of home owners to this growing community”.
Haling Place is ideally located to offer residents a rural feel whilst being within easy reach of local amenities. Waterbeach High Street offers a selection of shops, cafes and pubs, as well as a library and brewery, whilst Cambridge provides a greater choice of shopping, dining and entertainment options. Waterbeach Community Primary School achieved an ‘outstanding’ rating in its latest Ofsted report, and The Manor Foundation School, a secondary comprehensive with a performing arts specialism, approximately 5 miles away, was awarded a ‘good’ rating.
Waterbeach railway station provides a direct service to Cambridge and Ely of approximately nine minutes and to London King’s Cross of around an hour. Waterbeach lies close to the busy A10 road and is approximately seven miles from Cambridge city centre – within easy reach for keen cyclists. Neil and Elle who commute into work in Cambridge, find the park and ride bus service excellent and reliable.
Elle comments: “We are extremely happy with our new home and the easy commute to work has meant that we both have more time to get involved with the local community. I enjoy riding and have discovered some lovely hacks over the fens and met other local people with the same interests”.« Back to testimonials page
