We're helping first-time buyers find houses they can call home

Airport firefighter Adam Vernon and his partner Abbey Budd had their sights set on moving home. Then COVID-19 and furlough came long and threatened to scupper their plans. But some smart saving meant that they could buy their dream project home. We couldn’t be happier for them.

NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAM

Being on furlough didn’t stop Adam from keeping busy. Not only did he go on-call for Brampton fire station, but he also worked as a truck driver and supermarket delivery driver. Thanks to the extra income – and a deposit they’d managed to save in better times – they had what they needed to buy a home in Brampton, Cumbria.

It was absolutely perfect for them. We’d given the property a light refurbishment, so they had a blank canvas to express their ideas, personalities and tastes. They’ve gutted the house and have big improvements planned, including a more open-plan living design, a conservatory extension and a fresh driveway. “Currently it looks like a bombsite,” laughs Abbey, who works as a receptionist. Well, we can’t wait to see it when it’s all finished!

We love being able to put empty houses back onto the market for first-time buyers and families who really need them.

Our expertise and know-how means we can work harder at putting more wonderful homes on the radar of eager young buyers everywhere.
