Musician finds home close to the creative centre of London
Annington’s Mayflower Green located in rural Henlow provided the perfect location for violinist Judith Manning.
Judith was thrilled to find a home set amongst the countryside within commutable distance to London as she frequently makes trips to work on the array of musicals and theatre productions she is involved with.
She comments, “The location is fantastic, I can get the train to work and I am within a short driving distance to the local town. I am constantly travelling back and forth for work and I can be called up last minute so proximity was a key factor for me. I also love that I am close to London but still have the country feel of Henlow on my door step.”
Judith continues: “As I live alone I wanted to move to somewhere smaller with a nice community feel, which I feel I have found at Mayflower Green. I have also freed up capital by selling my previous home which means I can visit my son who lives abroad more frequently. The homes at Mayflower Green are perfect to move into; they are newly refurbished so they don’t need a great deal of work.”
Angela Walsh, Head of Sales and Marketing at Annington, added: “Mayflower Green is a lovely development of homes and in such a great location. With trains to London in under an hour, we can see why it has been so popular. We are delighted to have seen such a diverse range of buyers and to see such a strong community bond established, celebrated most recently by a community BBQ.”
Judith adds, “I would like to say how very happy I am in my new home and what an amazing standard and service Annington delivers throughout the purchase process. It's been like moving in to a brand new house but with the charm and character of an older home. I feel very at peace here and have been very pleased with the experience as a whole; I would definitely recommend buying a home with Annington.”
Mayflower Green is located in Henlow Camp, set amongst the beautiful landscape of rural Bedfordshire. Residents benefit from excellent local road and rail transport connections. Arlesey Station, which offers commuters a direct train service to London King’s Cross in less than 40 minutes, is a four mile drive from the development. The village is well served by a range of schools, including Raynsford VC Lower School, Stondon Lower School and Meppershall Church of England Academy. The local pub, The Bird in Hand is a ten minute walk away.
