REFURBISHED PROPERTIES IN WINDSOR SET TO WEATHER COST OF LIVING CRISIS

Annington, the company responsible for refurbishing former MOD housing, is launching its newest collection of homes in Windsor. Prospective buyers are invited to visit the development and its fully dressed show home, located on Cavalry Crescent from late March. Once complete, The Crescent will offer up to 53 two and three-bedroom extensively refurbished homes.

With sustainability at the heart of the redevelopment at The Crescent, the properties have been transformed inside and out with new external cladding and rendering. All homes will benefit from new radiators and boilers, as well as additional insulation to existing roofs, aiming to keep energy bills as low as possible for homeowners.

Dean Smith, Associate Director at Hamptons, comments: “The transformation of the properties at The Crescent is very impressive, offering sleek, contemporary living for young families and first-time buyers alike. The development offers a sophisticated lifestyle within the royal borough at an affordable price point. Many of the exteriors has been refurbished with a modern finishes, while the interiors have a lot to offer, with spacious rooms, some with large bi-fold doors, traditional layouts with brand new kitchens and bathrooms, allocated parking and good sized gardens. These homes offer fantastic value for money in comparison with a similarly sized brand-new home.”

The Crescent is located in the heart of Windsor town, within walking distance from the historic royal castle and the aptly-named The Long Walk. Homeowners can enjoy local artisanal pubs and restaurants while exploring Windsor’s bustling high street, while speedy rail links from Windsor’s two train stations offer access to central London in an hour. For trips further afield, Heathrow airport is just a short drive from The Crescent.

Louise Saunders, Sales and Marketing Manager at Annington, adds: “We specialise in bringing former Ministry of Defence homes back into use, growing local communities and providing much-needed homes around the country. Refitting and refurbishing existing homes at The Crescent is an eco-friendly and sustainable way of dealing with the housing crisis by bringing much needed homes to the market. It keeps the embodied energy of the original building, strengthens the community of existing neighbourhoods, and helps reduce the urban sprawl and negative environmental impacts of massive new build estates. In our opinion, it is better to revive and reinvent rather than rebuild!”
