Annington has donated £5,000 to The Hope Hub, helping to fund the charity’s vital frontline Day Services and support vulnerable people across Surrey Heath and the surrounding areas. The contribution reflects Annington’s commitment to supporting the communities around The Weald, a neighbourhood within Mindenhurst village in Deepcut, Surrey, where the company is transforming homes for the rental market.
The Hope Hub is a community organisation dedicated to preventing and ending homelessness through employment support, mental health services and community meals. Based in Surrey Heath, the charity is located nearby to The Weald.
The donation will contribute to the day-to-day operating costs of The Hope Hub’s Day Services, helping people experiencing homelessness, poverty, unemployment and social exclusion to access a safe and welcoming environment alongside the practical support they need to move towards stability and independence.
A single comprehensive one-to-one intervention at The Hope Hub costs approximately £37.50, meaning Annington’s donation will help fund around 133 individual interventions for people in need.
Over the last year, The Hope Hub has supported 277 individuals, provided 7,237 hot meals and refreshments and distributed 858 emergency food parcels. The charity has also helped 109 out of 112 people in crisis secure stable housing, achieving a 94% success rate.
