Annington, the company responsible for refurbishing ex-MOD homes at Lamborough Fields in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, has recently supported the local South Central Ambulance Service with a donation, enabling the station to purchase training equipment for its repurposed Simulation Suite.

Oxford City Resource Centre on Churchill Drive works as part of the South Central Ambulance Service, covering Oxford and the surrounding areas including Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Hampshire. A bustling hub for both long-term staff, newly graduated paramedics and students from nearby Oxford Brookes University, Annington’s donation of nearly £400 allowed the service to buy a Simulation Cricothyrotomy Trainer to help the paramedics practice vital lifesaving techniques.

Stacy Whitehead, Marketing Manager at Annington, comments: “At Annington we always strive to support our local communities, and are always looking for ways to help boost services in the local area. The South Central Ambulance Service does absolutely outstanding work not just helping those in need, but also in training the next generation of key workers, and we are so pleased to be able to support the fantastic service they provide to Abingdon and further afield.”

Angus McCulloch, Clinical Team Educator at Oxford City Resource Centre adds: “With our work always on the go, it can be tricky to find the time, space, and resources for us to practice certain procedures and help build the confidence of our staff. The purchase of new training equipment has provided us with the best set-up for the training of both new and long-standing staff, which in turn allows us to put our best foot forward to help our local communities. We are very grateful to Annington for their generous donation and can’t thank them enough for their support.”

The energy efficient homes at Lamborough Fields are priced from £270,000 for a two-bedroom mid-terrace home with a private garden. With the last few home remaining, Annington is hosting an open day at Lamborough Fields on Saturday 28th October from 10am to 4pm, with incentives available on the day.
