Hermitage Primary School has a range of new iPads for its pupils, thanks to a £2500 donation from Annington. The school is located a short distance from Honeycroft Hill, where Annington is currently building an exclusive new development named Southside Close. The gated development will consist of just eight 3 and 4 bedroom semi-detached homes.
“We are very keen to support the local community and with Hermitage Primary just around the corner from Southside Close we got in touch to find out how we could help.” said Sally Parsons, Property Director at Annington.
She continued: “It’s a fantastic school and after speaking to them it was clear that we could help to improve their provision of ICT equipment. We’re delighted that the donation has been used on the iPads and hope that they will provide more opportunities for the pupils to practice much-needed IT skills.”
Hermitage Primary’s Headteacher Elaine D’Souza said: “Living in a digital age, ICT has become an increasingly important resource to further our children's learning and development. The school already has a range of ICT resources, but with the current cuts to school funding, it can be very expensive to provide sufficient up-to-date equipment. We are overjoyed that Annington has made this donation and it has allowed us to purchase five new iPads which will maximise learning opportunities for our students.”
Properties at Southside Close will be available to buy off plan this summer. As well as being set in an exclusive gated development with private parking, the contemporary and stylish three and four bedroom homes also benefit from a fantastic central location, moments from the town centre.
