After swapping High Wycombe for Walters Ash, first time buyers Carly and Todd Ricketts love the community atmosphere and the generous space of their new home. Todd explains:
“The area around the M40 in Buckinghamshire can be very expensive, so as first time buyers we were looking for somewhere that would offer us good value for money.
“We were living in High Wycombe and were keen to find a proper house and not an apartment, and we also wanted to move out of the town centre to a semi-rural location that would still be close to work. We knew that we didn’t want a new build home in one of the standard developments as modern requirements often mean smaller internal spaces.
“We found out about Walters Ash online and when we originally went to look at the development we were a little concerned that it might be out of our budget, but after investigating further we were delighted to find out that the homes were really good value. The properties might be older but they offer much better living spaces than a new build home and our friends have noticed that we have plenty of space.
“We love it in Walters Ash. It’s an exceptionally safe area and there’s a real community feel here. There’s easy access to the M40 and the nearest train station is 10 minutes away, whilst our commute to work is straightforward and via peaceful countryside roads. The homes have been completely transformed and everyone is friendly. It’s great that a number of our new neighbours are also first time buyers and around the same age as us.”« Back to testimonials page
