The market town of Watton is situated in the district of Breckland within the county of Norfolk. The Domesday Book records that Watton featured a church, manor house and Anglo-Saxon settlement. Today it is twinned with the Lower Rhine (Niederrhein) town of Weeze in Germany.

Local Amenities

The market is currently held every Wednesday from 9am until 1pm, although stalls are often seen on the high street well after this time. As with many Norfolk markets, Watton market always has a wide variety of fresh sea produce available, usually caught the day before.

Watton has a local post offices as well as a selection of local pubs including The Bull, Kings arms, Willow House and Old Bell.

There is also a Farmers Market on the first Saturday of every month.


Transport

Watton is located on the crossroads of the A1075 Dereham-Thetford road and the B1108 Brandon-Norwich Road, about 25 miles (40 km) west of Norwich.
