St Eval is located between Newquay and Padstow and approximately three miles from Mawgan Porth. This seaside hamlet, situated on the famous North Cornwall coast has a traditional pub and general stores, as well as a large sandy beach fronting the Atlantic ocean. It is also home to the Bedruthan Stepsm a spectaular series of rocks stretching across the bay-legend has it that they are the stepping stones of an ancient giant.
Padstow
A fishing port around seven miles from St Eval has seen meteoric rise in popularity since clebrity chef Rick Stein opened his first restaurant in the village in 1975. Situated on the River Camel estuary, Padstow is known for its fresh fish and picturesque setting.
Newquay
Popular as a family holiday destination, Newquay has a bustling high street and great nightlife, centred around its fantastic coastline and stunning beaches. It is approximately nine miles from Greenfields.
Newquay Railyway Station
Offering Intercity as well as local services, with direct trains in the summer to London Paddington, the Midlands, North and Scotland. The Night Riviera Sleeper Service operates all year round Sunday to Friday, getting to your destination in the morning after a refreshing night's sleep.
Newquay Cornwall Airport
A major local employer less than six milesfrom Greenfields, currently offering scheduled and charter flights to the UK, Ireland and Europe, including the popular holiday destination of Spain. A substantial redevelopment programme is underway.
Road Connections
Cornwall is one of the few remaining English counties wihtout a motorway, adding to the natural charm of the area. Less than five miles from Greenfields, the A39 is one of the main arteries through Cornwall, providing an easy connection north into the neighbouring county of Devon and beyond, or south towards the county town of Truro. A little further afield, the A30 links with the M5 to Bristol, and beyond, and to the South, as far as Penzance.
