Marham was originally named ‘Cherry Marham’ due to an abundance of fruit orchards in the local area, however, due to the need for more arable land the orchards have since diminished and hence the ‘Cherry’ was dropped from the name.
There is a local post office and a number of local pubs in and around Marham, including the Spread Eagle Inn and Kings Arms.
